MedTech Innovator Welcomes Dr. Jeffrey Shuren as Advisor

MedTech Innovator (MTI), the world's largest accelerator of medical technology companies, announced that Dr. Jeffrey Shuren, former Director of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration's Center for Devices and Radiological Health (CDRH), has joined as an Advisor.

Dr. Shuren brings over two decades of leadership experience at the FDA and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. During his FDA tenure, CDRH advanced regulatory modernization, strengthened patient protections, created innovation pathways, and established frameworks for digital health and artificial intelligence.

As an MTI Advisor, Dr. Shuren will provide strategic guidance on regulatory strategy, policy trends, and global market access to help early- and mid-stage startups navigate complex regulatory environments.

Dr. Shuren led initiatives including the Breakthrough Devices Program, the Patient Engagement Program, the Digital Health Center of Excellence, and the Total Product Life Cycle Advisory Program, modernizing regulatory science across medtech sectors including AI, diagnostics, and wearables.
